On Saturday, April 29th, Rick and I are going to participate in a Walk to Defeat ALS at Bear Creek Park in Medford along with many others stricken by ALS and their supporters. The walk is symbolic and just a mile loop on a path in the park. While I would be honored if many of you can actually walk with me, I would greatly appreciate any support you might give toward the cause to defeat ALS.
As many of you may already know, I was diagnosed with ALS a year ago and there is no cure for this disease (also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease). The ALS Association has been making great strides recently with medications that may slow the progression of this debilitating disease. They are also providing excellent support to those of us and our families dealing with the ongoing challenges as the disease progresses.
I am asking for any donation to ALS, on behalf of my team “We Are Sharp” which you can do in my name on my web page for the 2023 Walk to Defeat ALS website. I have provided a link to take you directly to the page where you can donate. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask me.
