ALS has forever changed our lives with my dad's diagnosis in 2022, and his passing away just 13 months later. But that's just part of the story. We have been incredibly blessed by the support from ALS Northwest and the strength of the community supporting them and my parents.
In 2014 we participated in the ALS ice bucket challenge. At the time we couldn’t have imagined that my dad would be diagnosed with ALS/Lou Gehrig’s disease in 2022 or that he would directly benefit by from the generosity of ALS Northwest and the love of the community.
Some of you may be interested in supporting the ALS foundation in your area. Our family have been incredibly helped by equipment, supplies, and support groups from the ALS Northwest. Mom and I are going to be participating in the "Walk to Defeat ALS" in Vancouver on May 19. And we already participated in Southern Oregon where we live as well.
Supporting local ministry and being led by God comes first! Your love, friendship, and prayers are all that we need, please don’t feel an obligation to donate or walk. If you would like to make a donation, please browse the roster of participants on the right side of the page linked below and if you see someone who hasn’t gotten to $250, consider sponsoring them as part of our team – it all goes to benefit the ALS association.
