The average age of an ALS diagnosis is 55 but can happen between age 40 to 70. I'm 53, with the majority of my friends and family falling in the 40-70 range. I don't want to lose any of you! Let's help each other put a stop to this horrific disease that takes 50% of lives of its victims within 2-5 years of diagnosis.
That’s why I’m walking, and asking you to help me meet my fundraising goal of $1000. Together we can change the statistics. We will bring help and hope to those living with the disease, and to ensure that no one ever hears the words: “You Have ALS” again.
The past two years have brought incredible advancements in ALS research, expanded access to care for people living with ALS, and enabled legislation that impacts the quality of life of people with ALS and their families.
But, we can’t stop now. The key to a cure begins with you.
Please consider walking with me or sponsoring me. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease.
