Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. ALS can strike anyone, I sure did not expect it to strike me, and presently there is no known cause or cure.

 

That’s why I'm walking. To bring help and hope to those living with the disease and awareness to those unfamiliar with it. I also want to support ALS Northwest as they have already given invaluable support to me and my family and to others coping with ALS.
